M. DiBergi

September 18, 2006

Hello, My name is M. DiBergi. I'm a filmmaker. I make a lot of commercials. When I found out what a traumatic experience you have been through, I was intrigued. I wondered how you two never let it effect your performances. You must be professionals, right? Alright? Anyway, I think millions of people would love to see your story on the big...well...little screen! You two have created one of the biggest buzzes in the music community, lately (what with the rumors of demise and all). Just as you are about to start your winter tour of the U.S., I thought it would be a perfect time to capture the raw energy, emotion, and phenomena which is Cult of 2... ...well, enough of my yappin', let's boogie!! M.D.

Ok you two...you don't respond to emails so I'm taking this route. Jeff, did you pull a Zeke and fall off the stage? Sounds like you did a really good one based on the way Sue explains the injury on page 1 of the website. Hope you are feeling ok and recovering. Knew you would find a way to sleep. Thanks for all of the "fun" when we were there - we had a great time and looking forward to coming up in the fall! The Pics were great and always fun to talk about back here - you again made our trip. Best of luck in the mending process and closing out your summer. See you in a few!

It was great seeing you guys over the 4th! Did Kidd Rock ever show up on Saturday night! We ended up leaving around 10 Saturday night so we didn't have to deal with traffic. Are you guys going to be playing the weekend of Sept. 8th?? I'm bringing 12 women up to golf and I've told them all about you guys so hope to see you then!

July 21, 2006

Hi Jeff andd Sue,
Once again out trip to Garland was off the hook and you guys are a big part of it. Thanks so much for mentioning Billy and putting his picture up. That touches us all in a very special way. Thanks also for calling me up. What a blast!! I have explored your website and I must say you two have it so together not only musically but also your outstanding commitment to making Martini Hill a green studio. I have met a lot of musicians in my 40 years of playing and the closest thing I have come in contact to musicians who lived in a self sustaining environment were the guys who were on the road and lived in their cars. You guys have it all together. Thanks and see you next year.

Hello Jeff and Sue,

It was very nice to meet both of you this weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed your music and the opportunity to talk with both of you. We listened to part of your CD on our way home today. Our favorite song so far is "On Sunday". We were talking about planning a golf/fishing trip for our family and friends next summer at Garland. Either way, we'll be there again next summer. We're signing up to be on your email list so we can stay current. Again, it was a pleasure to meet the two of you. We wish you the very best and much happiness.

Greetings from the UK

Dear Jeff and Sue,
WOW....Have just listened to your fantastic new CD "Bird" and we are knocked out with the music, lyrics and the production. You guys are just great and we are so proud to be considered among your friends.

Ricky and I sat together last evening and listened to "Bird" and we were transported back to our most enjoyable times in Garland. Somehow you have captured the magic of Jeff and Sue onto a CD, something that is often disappointingly often NOT the case. How often when taking a vacation or visiting a restaurant where there is a resident band that is just so perfect. So you hurry to purchase their CD and play it at home only to find that it really was only the location, time and ambience that was good. NOT SO THE CASE WITH YOUR CD. Somehow you have captured the essence of your distinctive style onto a very professional compilation of original and touching music and lyrics. We could imagine being there listening to you.

May 14, 2006

Sue and Jeff,

I listened to clips of the album on CD Baby - wow! You must be so
proud of this work, it is impressive! I'm ordering the cd, and I can't
wait to listen to the whole thing.

From what I've heard, it sounds like you're expressing your most
personal sides, both of you, which is so powerful. Your voices sound
beautiful as ever and I love the arrangements, quite an interesting mix
without being 'all over the place'. Congratulations on a wonderful
production!

I loaned my Martini Hill CD to the bartender at my country club who was getting real tired of hearing Christmas music. She played it on the cocktail lounge sound system and you two now have bunch of fans in Wichita Falls, Texas. I just ordered Bird and look forward to receiving it. I still have very fond memories of New Year's at Garland several years ago!

Melissa and I saw you at the Island Grill last Friday. We were the ones that just got engaged. We were so happy to stumble accross you two after dinner at the grill. That's one of the things that keeps us coming back to the keys, listening to and talking to great musicians like you. Unfortunately, your set was rained out that evening. We were hoping to hear much more. Ah well, maybe another time. The CD is great, se ya around.

It was great to see you at Garland after so many years! Your talent is immeasurable – I was really impressed with how good your band is. One of my absolute favorites is your rendition of Shakakan (spelling?). That’s an all time favorite of mine and it’s amazing how you make it sound so authentic! Congratulations on your new CD! I could not think of a better name for it than “Bird.” It really reminds me of a true connection with nature – earth, wind, water, and birds. These are my favorite things, and I honestly believe that we need to do everything we can to protect the pigeons, doves and ducks. Thanks for such a soulful experience and that special connection with the good earth. Will your next CD include my favorite Shakakan? (spelling?).

Guy

October 6, 2005

Jeff and Sue,

With the demands life continues to throw our way it is so easy to bury our passions and dreams so deep that we begin to question our own exsistence and forget who we are and what we really want out of life. You two have stayed the course. Held fast to your ideals and though faced with many challenges along the way you always found your way back to the path you started out on. Now through you music you are able to share with others the lessons learned along the way. I above anyone am so proud of who you are and look forward to watching you continue to grow and share your music with the rest of the world. Thank you for being a part of my life and helping me realize what is important. I love you both and continue to be one of you biggest fans.

Love,

October 3, 2005

HEY! Congrats on the new CD! I listened to it and read the lyrics. All I can say is...WOW, you guys really need some professional psychiatric help?

But seriously folks, great work. I heard flavors of Nickel Creek, Shawn Colvin, Sam Phillips, and lots of others. You have a great style. Keep it up!

ps. Next time I come out, I'm leaving the drunkards at home!

Nodrog Nosttam

September 27, 2005

WOW! Come on now people, have you heard it? Could we really expect anything less? Week after week, year after year, we've been blown away by this dynamic duo's live performances at Herman's/Garlalnd. Night in and night out they've hammered out familiar rock classics, country, current pop hits and just about any request that the crowd shouts out to them. They do it live and we love it. Now with the release of "bird" these two have truly taken flight. This studio production has allowed them to reach way beyond the live experience by giving them creative license to explore their own unique influences. Can you say "talent"? Let me tell you, these guys have it and it really shows on this CD. Do yourself a favor, buy the CD, take a listen for yourself. These songs evoke some true emotion. Mature, clever, gorgeous tracks on this diverse collection will take you through discovery, triumphs, tragedy, loss and love. Congratulations Jeff and Sue!!! The labor was well worth it. You really delivered!

Tom & Sally

September 25, 2005

Jeff & Sue,

'Bird'...what a wonderful CD.

Quite a tasty mix of original material. Every time I bite into it, new sensations stimulate my pallet. What new discoveries will I make of the intricate subtle blend of sounds so meticulously placed?...I can't wait.

There is one problem though...I need another CD. Sally & I are keep taking it from each other.

You both put your hearts & souls into this one...what a heartfelt CD.

We hope to see you soon,

Tom & Sally

September 23, 2005

jeffandsue,

I knew it...I just knew it !!

Three nights this summer Pat and I enjoyed your rendition and variations of popular songs at Garland. An intimate venue, except I came real close to standing up and yelling "PIPE DOWN" !!! to the "preoccupied" at the beginning of each Landslide. Your energy, passion and creativity is so refreshing!

When I heard you were releasing a CD of all original work, I just knew that same passion and creativity would be unleashed in your own personal way. I particularly love the texture of your compositions. You weave a tapestry of music and vocals that is as good as ANYTHING I have heard...EVER !!! The CD "Bird" is pure gold as far as I'm concerned. I'll probably have to buy another copy because we're wearing out the tracks!

The sky is the limit for U2....you've already taken us above the clouds !

Thanks and Good Luck,

billandpat
