"And a good time was had by all!" Wow! What an experiance! (I'll stop using exclamation marks when they no longer are appropriate) I have had the pleasure (and privlege) to know Jeff & Sue for about a year now, I have witnessed amazing(!) performances by them in various venues and have always been impressed not only by there level of muscianship (which is unparalleled in northen Michigan) but by there ability to make someone feel instantly welcome as part of a larger family of fans and friends. As a guitar player myself I am constantly blown away by jeffs skills as a player and as an overall (and over the top) performer. The man sells the song! That'a all that can be said about that. Sue's approach is different but no less impressive. The intensity and emotion she brings to a song gives me chills everytime I hear her and Jeff, please forgive me for saying this but I think I fall in love with her just a little bit when she sings a certain song (she knows which one). Now that everyone reading this knows how I feel about the two of you I have to talk about saturday night. OMG!!! WOW!!! DAMN!!! WHAT A SHOW!!! You obviously are at home at Garland because your performance was (here it comes Jeff) AMAZING!!!! And everyone in the bar was a part of it. The "guest" onsatge, the slideshows of friends (I got mooky looking at all the fun we had a Mulligans), and of course the shear intensity of your performance! I've said it before and I will say it again now (and anyone who was there will agree with me) YOU BOTH SHOULD BE SUPERSTARS!!!!! I think your too humble to push that hard but, God, I wish you would. Jeff when I thought you told me you were playing "The Garden" (mistunderstanding) I was so thrilled for the both of you and was instantly trying to figure out how I was going to be there with you. I wish it were true. You both deserve it!. (-: Well, I've firmly established my credentials as a madman and I could ramble on for days about your talent but, I am at work and I really shoud do something today. I love you guys! When you you order sushi from the same place (red ginger for example) you have a standard set in your mind that you expect. just like when i see you 2 play...well saturday you 2 messed up and raised the bar again.....you blew me away..best show i've ever seen...and i'm in the 100+ club. That is great news Jeff and Sue!!!
Dawn and I have refused to go back to Garland, in protest of your departure, and hoped that management would see the light and you two would return at some point.
You two are such an important part of the Garland experience for us, and obviously many many others, and we really had no interest in experiencing the place without you two (and let Garland know it too).
I was just thinking of you two, as Dawn and I just celebrated our 3rd anniversary on the 17th. It was sad not celebrating at Garland, as it is one of my favorite places to be around that time of year (when you two are there!!).
I have thought about you guys, often throughout the year, and hoped all was well with you. I am very happy for you two and the news of your return to Garland.
We missed you guys and hope to see you soon!!

We (Kinters, Wilbers, Coles and Johnsons) heard the news from our waitress at Herman's Friday evening (8/20). We made our annual trip to Doug's cottage and wound up at Garland for a few drinks after dinner in Lewiston and asked about you guys and she filled us in on your retrurn to Garland. MJ and I are so happy that things worked out for you two--we missed you. As you have probably heard, we did not go to Garland this year and ventured on our to Gaylord to play golf and stay at Otsego Country club. As you, we tried a new deal and had fun, as we usually do. I see from your schedule that you will be back performing on New Year's Eve, we may get a group together and bring in the new year with you guys. That is sad news it seems like everyone who was there the weekend we came loved you and you all seemed like a "Garland Family"!
