Jeff and Sue/Cult of 2, the popular singer/songwriter duo continue to rock audiences with their new video show. This husband and wife musical team have been performing together throughout the United States and U.S. Virgin Islands for over 25 years. "Jeff and Sue/Cult of 2" play a large variety of music specializing in Classic Rock.
This year promises to be even more exciting with an even wider variety of musical arrangements and video treatments. Jeff & Sue/Cult of 2 are currently writing and recording new material for the follow up to their 2005 release "Bird" "Bird" and it's predecessor "Martini Hill" (a collection of soft and lush Carlos Jobim compositions), were each a great success and are selling very well! "Bird" is an introspective album with underlying themes of life-beginnings and ends. One of the more interesting aspects of this cd was that it was recorded in their own "Martini Hill Recording Studio" Not only do they produce songwriters and albums, but, radio and television commercials as well. Chances are you have been listening to "Jeff and Sue" for many years advertising your favorite local business.
Even more interesting is the fact that their home and studio are located in the center of 160 remote and secluded acres, and, is several miles from electric and phone lines. All of the energy used to power their home and studio are provided by wind generators, solar panels and inverters. Communication is provided by 2-way satellite. Their latest cd "Bird" could possibly be one of the first environmentally "Green", renewable energy produced cd's !

Green Power!
The term "renewable energy" takes on many different meanings for many people. For Jeff and Sue, the term means salvation, independence and a deep concern and contribution to the health and welfare for this extremely fragile environment that we humans and animal friends alike inhabit. Yes! It can be done! Jeff and Sue's home and recording studio," Martini Hill" is powered by the wind and the sun using the latest in renewable energy technology. All of the original and commercial (jingles) music produced are "green" products! The harnessing of energy from the wind and the sun to power their studio, creates a lesser impact on the enviroment.
The following is a brief and simple technical description of the components that power Martini Hill Recording Studio. These components and related equipment can be found through the links provided on this website.
Electrical power is collected and converted through what is called a "Hybrid System" comprising of #1 World Power Technology Whisper 3000 watt wind generator mounted atop a 90 foot tower and #16 Astropower 120 watt solar panels. The wind generator and solar panels are controlled and regulated by the World Power Technology "Easy Wire System Monitor Center" that is provided with the "Whisper 3000. DC power is then fed to a powerful bank of #16 Trojan L-16 6 volt deep cycle batteries. This bank of batteries is sized for our specific needs to provide approximately 2 weeks of carefully planned, monitored and consumed power without any wind or sun input. Power collection and consumption can vary greatly with seasonal changes. The DC battery bank is then converted or inverted to be specific, to AC power with a "Trace SW 5548 Sine Wave Inverter" Power is then fed to the circuit breaker panel. Excess power is regulated and "burned off" through a massive heat sink. This may sound a bit confusing.
